A man accused of brandishing a machete to rob an Aberdeen shop has been acquitted of all charges.
William Irvine was arrested following the incident at R S McColl on Loirston Road in October 2017.
He later appeared in Aberdeen Sheriff Court accused of carrying the blade, ordering a staff member to give him money from a safe, and striking a man on the head with the knife.
However the case was dropped when the evidence showed Mr Irvine had not been responsible for this.
The perpetrator is yet to be apprehended.
