Police are appealing for witnesses following a daring theft on an ATM at a north east supermarket this morning.
A five-figure sum was stolen from the cash machine at Morrisons on North Deeside Road in Banchory between 2am and 6am.
The outside of the shop suffered severe damage.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We can confirm that we are in the early stages of investigating what appears be a theft at Morrisons in Banchory.
“We would urge anyone who saw anything unusual in the area between 2am and 6am to contact us on 101.”
