Police officers, alongside fire and rescue, are investigating a blaze which broke out in an Aberdeen tower block last night.
Emergency services were called to Grampian Court in the Balnagask area of the city at around 10.55pm.
18 firefighters tackled the flames, which were under control by 11.10pm.
Four people, including a baby, were taken to hospital and others were treated for smoke inhalation at the scene.
A spokesman for the police said: “Police Scotland can confirm that along with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, officers attended at Grampian Court, Aberdeen, at about 2320 hours on Monday 8 June 2015, following a report of a fire there.
“The fire was quickly extinguished and Police Scotland continue to work closely with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service to investigate the full circumstances of this incident.
“A number of occupants were treated for smoke inhalation at scene, however they have since been allowed to return home.”
