Brazen thieves have stolen seven vehicles in the last  four days from around the north-east.

Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses after vehicles worth tens of thousands of pounds were stolen in Aberdeenshire.

A white Audi A6  with the registration plate SO12 XJE was stolen from Green Way, Oldmeldrum, at around 3.30am on Tuesday, October 13.

A grey Lexus RX300 registration plate, MCC 692, and an orange BMW X1 (SW13 WVM) were stolen from Craigbank, Kintore, between 12.30am and 8.45am on Wednesday, October, 14.

Three off road motorcycles and a quad bike have also been stolen from Broomhill Close and Burnwood Drive in Newmachar at around 3.20am this morning (Thursday, October, 15.)

The Lexus has since been recovered in the Cairncry area of Aberdeen.

Detective Constable Ross Geddes said: “Police Scotland is appealing for anyone who has seen these vehicles or has any information relating to the thefts to contact us. We would also ask that anyone who sees any suspicious behaviour or anything unusual in their neighbourhood contact us.

“We continue to ask the public to take simple security measures, such as making sure properties and vehicles are secure and keys are kept out of sight in order to deter opportunistic thieves.”

Police Scotland can be contacted on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.
