Firefighters were called to Aberdeen Harbour today following a fire scare on board a ship.
A fire and rescue appliance from Aberdeen Central was sent to the Halls Quay area of the port following reports of a blaze on a North Star Shipping vessel.
However the emergency responders were not required on board after the incident was dealt with by an on-board fire team.
A fire and rescue spokeswoman said: “Standby was requested after a fire alarms went off. We got the call at 2.06pm. We had no involvement.”
The firefighters have since been called away from the harbour.
There were no casualties or rescues.
