A man appeared in court yesterday in connection to the alleged thefts of charity tins from businesses across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.
Warren McLean, a 41-year-old from Macduff, faces 15 charges of theft and one charge of assault at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.
The alleged thefts took place over the past two weeks at businesses in Aberdeen city centre, the Drummers Corner area of Peterhead and the High Street in Turriff.
Hundreds of pounds of charity cash was reported to have been stolen.
McLean made no plea and was remanded in custody.
