A woman has been taken to hospital after being involved in a two vehicle accident west of Aberdeen this morning.
Two fire appliances were sent to the back road between Blackburn and Clinterty near Wynford Farm after the alarm was raised at 6.56am.
A fire service spokesman said: “One female is trapped. Police and ambulance are also in attendance.”
The road was closed in both directions while emergency services dealt with the incident, and re-opened at around 8.30am.
Firefighters used cutting gear to free the woman.
She has since been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
