A woman has been acquitted of causing the death of her partner by careless driving.
Vicki Williamson, 36, was standing trial accused of causing the death of 26-year-old Liam Thornton on August 12 2014.
A jury took about an hour and 20 minutes to return a verdict of not proven at Aberdeen Sheriff Court this afternoon.
Mr Thornton was killed when Williamson’s silver Corsa and a blue Ford Focus collided on the A956, at the Charleston flyover.
Williamson had previously pled guilty to driving with a defective tyre, for which she was fined £80 and had three points endorsed on her licence.
