A flood alert has been issued for Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen city.
The Met Office put a yellow warning in place for heavy rainfall tomorrow afternoon.
The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency says heavy and persistent rainfall is “expected”.
A spokesman for the agency said: “This will lead to a risk of flooding from surface water in the afternoon and evening of Wednesday and from watercourses from Wednesday evening into Thursday.
“Impacts are likely to include localised flooding of low-lying land and roads, disruption to travel and difficult driving conditions.”
