A motorist has been caught driving at more than 100mph in Moray.
The 24-year-old man was stopped by officers on the A96 Aberdeen to Inverness road near Alves on Sunday evening.
The driver has been charged.
Sergeant Scott Deans said: “It is always disappointing when motorists drive at speeds posing a danger to not only themselves but most importantly other road users.
“Additional patrols are being carried out by road policing officers over the festive period to deter and detect a range of offences and I can provide every assurance that motorists found to be breaking the law will be dealt with accordingly.”
