A north-east car showroom could be transformed into a housing development if plans are approved by Aberdeenshire Council.

The ambitious development would create a small cul-de-sac, just off the thoroughfare, with sufficient room for prospective homeowners to park their cars and for delivery vehicles to turn.
Eight parking spaces would be created to service the properties.
The existing showroom forms part of the portfolio of John Willox Fraserburgh, which has a similar vehicle facility, directly across from the proposed homes.
That building would be unaffected by the development.
The design of the homes has not yet been revealed, but early designs show that only two would have gardens.
A garage formerly used to carry out repairs to vehicles would also be demolished.
So far, the development has drawn no objections from consultees.
In a statement submitted alongside the application, a spokesman for McAdam Design said the homes – once they have been constructed – would “not result in a loss of residential amenity to the existing neighbouring residents”.
He added: “The design and layout has been carefully considered to reflect the existing housing nearby. There is no detrimental impact on the surrounding area by virtue of loss of daylight or sunlight or privacy.
“The proposed development represents a logical use of land which would otherwise fall into a state of disrepair, which was formally associated with ongoing car sales business, but now serves no purpose.
“We respectfully submit that the application be supported.”
The public consultation on the development ends on December 27.
A decision is expected about the future of the scheme in February.
