Former Aberdeen midfielder Chris Forrester has rejoined League of Ireland side St Pat’s Athletic.
Forrester was released by the Dons on Tuesday after a frustrating six months in the Granite City, in which he made only eight appearances.
He was a summer signing from Peterborough United, bought for a fee in the region of £200,000, but made only one start, against St Johnstone.
The 26-year-old has penned a three-year deal with Harry Kenny’s side, starting his second spell for the club he left in 2015.
Forrester said: “With me coming home, it gives me a fresh start. I’m around my family, my little girl and my friends; I’m around a club that generally likes me. As a footballer, you just want to be loved. Coming back to Pats, if I do the business, hopefully that’s what it’ll mean for me.
“I’m delighted to be back. With everything that’s gone on in my life, I was always going to be coming back. I’ve had a good few years here before and hopefully we can do the same this season.”
