We visited Wick Academy’s Harmsworth Park on Scottish Cup day for tonight’s Highland League Weekly – while we also have highlights of Nairn County and Strathspey Thistle’s league showdown.
Wick faced Benburb in the second round of the national trophy over the weekend, and we took the opportunity to chat to player-boss Gary Manson – before and after the tie – about what the competition means to the Scorries.
Despite some sides being involved in the Scottish Cup on Saturday, the Breedon Highland League action continued, with an important clash between the bottom two, Nairn and Strathspey, being played out in front of the Highland League Weekly cameras.
We’ve got highlights and reaction from Station Park, while Ryan Cryle and Callum Law discuss all of the other matches across both the cup and league.
On top of this, there’s an interview with Brechin City player and coffee shop entrepreneur Euan Spark on the business he has percolated with best friend – and Scotland international – John Souttar.
This week’s episode also includes the first Highland League Weekly Fans’ Panel of the season, with the discussion centered on the positives and negatives of the pyramid.
