Premier League Darts returned to Aberdeen for the first time post-Covid on Thursday – with P&J Live playing host to 8,000 rowdy arrows fans.
Ultimately, Welshman Jonny Clayton was victorious on night 11, beating Dutchman (and five-time Premier League champion) Michael van Gerwen 6-5 in the final.
It was a disappointing night for Scottish duo Gary Anderson and Peter Wright, with the former exiting in the quarter-finals to Clayton, before the night’s top man also dispatched ‘Snakebite’ in the semis.
However, darts was only part of the draw for fans.
Those packed into the Granite City’s flagship venue were kitted out in a weird and wonderful array of costumes as is the norm when the Premier League and the world’s best darters roll into town – and the crowd clearly enjoyed themselves going by the pictures our photographer took on the night.
Signs for all sorts were on display throughout the night at P&J Live – even for the Northstar League.
Fancy dress is a staple for the darts, and this man seemingly jumped at the chance to show off his hot dog suit.
All the way from Shetland, this pair represent the islands at the packed indoor event.
From under the sea to the front row: this punter was far from nippy as the darts kicked off.
A sign asking for local darter John Henderson is held aloft during the night. The Huntly-born Henderson wasn’t playing last night.
Let’s just all keep quiet on this one – we hope he enjoyed the darts, though!
Fancy dress can be dangerous, especially when you dress as a darts board at a darts event. This group were in good spirits despite the risk.
It was darts last night, but this fan was proudly holding up a Hearts scoreline.

Classic signs such as this ‘180’ were also on show throughout the event.
It certainly looked like everyone was delighted to be back at P&J Live for the darts.
Joe Cullen makes his way out surrounded by signs from the crowd – including one to mum and dad from Isla and family.
While there was no local winner in this round, cries and roars of jubilation rocked the P&J Live from start to finish on Thursday. Were you part of the crowd?
