Midfielder Greg Tansey is back in Inverness and ready to help Caley Thistle aim for Europe.
The 25-year-old, who rejoined the club from Stevenage on Friday, came on from the bench as John Hughes’s Inverness claimed a terrific 1-0 win at Aberdeen on Saturday.
The result leaves the Highlanders seven points behind the second-placed Dons, who have played two games more, and Tansey believes his club can overhaul Aberdeen in the race to finish best of the rest in the Premiership behind champions-elect Celtic.
He said: “I don’t see why we can’t finish second. It’s up for grabs. We’ve got two games in hand and this was a massive win for us.
“I don’t see why we should fear anyone. We’re solid at the back, hit teams well on the break and we looked dangerous against a team which had won seven of their last eight games.”
Partick were also in the hunt for Tansey’s services but the chance to return to the Highlands was one he could not resist.
