A person has died after a crash between a motorbike and a truck this evening.
The crash happened two-and-a-half miles south of Tomintoul on the A939 at around 5.30pm.
Police are still in attendance at the scene and the road is closed while investigations are being carried out.
A police statement read: “Police Scotland are currently dealing with a single fatality two vehicle RTC on the A939 near to Tomintoul. The road is currently closed whilst investigations are being carried out.
“Anyone who may have witnessed the collision and has not spoken to Police is asked to make contact on 101 quoting as a reference, incident number 2700 of 26/07/17 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
