A senior director at Aberdeen City Council has been suspended from their position, it has emerged.
Their identity has not been revealed, as the local authority said it does not comment on “individual staffing matters”.
It is also unclear what actions may have led to the suspension.
A spokesman for the ruling Conservative, Aberdeen Labour and independent coalition said its members had been made aware of the situation by the local authority’s chief executive.
It is understood that a full investigation into the alleged misconduct may be launched.
