Four people have appeared in court after more than £160,000 worth of drugs was seized in Aberdeen over the weekend.

Martin Wallace, 48, and Nicola Hardingham, 44, are both alleged to have been involved in the supply of illegal substances. The pair, from Aberdeen, are also facing three charges of being in possession of drugs.

Their arrest followed the recovery of cocaine, ecstasy and cannabis worth in excess of £150,000 from properties in the Bedford Road and Hilton Drive areas of the city.

Both accused made no plea when they appeared in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday.

Their case was continued for further examination and they were released on bail.

Louanna Gordon, 28, and Josh Cox, 25, also appeared in the dock in private after £13,000 worth of cocaine was recovered from the Bridge Street area of the city on Sunday.

They also made no plea to one charge of being concerned in the supply of drugs. The case was continued for further examination.

Gordon, of Aberdeen, was released on bail while Cox, of Wolverhampton, was remanded in custody.

All four are expected to appear in court again in a week.

Last night, a police spokeswoman said: “Targeting serious organised crime involving drugs is a priority for the division under Operation Aspen to ensure the north-east remains one of the safest places to live and work.

“We continue to appeal to anyone with information about drug misuse where they live to contact police on 101 or, if they wish to remain anonymous, the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
