Police have confirmed they are investigating an incident involving an out-of-control vehicle which left four firefighters injured at the scene of the tragedy.
It is understood that the fire crews were hurt after a vehicle rolled down an embankment and collided with them.
Two were taken to hospital for a precautionary check-up, while two were treated at the scene.
The injuries are all believed to have been minor.
A spokesman for the police said: “Police Scotland has been made aware of the incident, and is investigating the matter.”
Earlier in the week, assistant chief officer of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Paul Stewart, said: “It was clearly a very difficult and hazardous scene, and it remains so, and we take the safety of our crews very seriously indeed.
“We did have the unfortunate event of four firefighters receiving minor injuries at the scene, two of which attended hospital for a precautionary check-up and two of which remained at the scene.”
