Party-goers from across the north-east descended on Aberdeen for the return of the city’s Hogmanay street party.
The family-friendly event at Schoolhill began at 8.30pm, with Northsound’s Jeff Diack getting people in the mood with some party classics.
He was followed by the Silver City Soul Revue and the Kopycat Killers.
Some attendees claimed the event was even better than Edinburgh’s famous celebrations, as they had more space to move – with others voicing hopes next year’s event could be held in the recently reopened Union Terrace Gardens.
As midnight hit, the sky was lit up with a spectacular four-minute fireworks display.
