Police are appealing for information after a man exposed himself to a group of women in an Aberdeen park.

The incident took place in Seaton Park on Friday morning near the sports pitch.

The culprit has been described as being in his late 30s, between 5ft10 to 6ft in height, and of medium build.

He was wearing jeans, a black jacket and had either dark hair or was wearing a hat.

Police said he was last seen heading to the north side of the park before being lost to view.

Detective Sergeant, Steve Beattie, added: “None of the women who reported this incident to police were approached or harmed in any way, however it would have obviously been unsettling for them and made them feel extremely uncomfortable.

“Uniformed officers will give particular attention to the area and I would urge anyone who recognises the description of the man provided and can assist with the investigation to contact police on 101 or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if you would prefer to remain anonymous.”

It comes after three incidents in the park last year where the same man indecently assaulted three women.

He was described as white, between the ages of 17 and 20, and around 5ft 7in and 5ft 9in in height with short light brown or blond hair.

While it is not believed that last year’s incidents are connected to Friday’s offence, police insisted they are “keeping an open mind” on the issue.
