Students at a north-east university will mark the culmination of four years of hard work later this month.
Final year fashion and textiles undergraduates at Gray’s School of Art will showcase their talents in the annual fashion show at Robert Gordon University’s Riverside East building.
Second and third-year students will also have the chance to present some of their work on the catwalk.
Josie Steed, head of fashion and textiles at Gray’s, said: “The fashion show is always the culmination of our students’ time at art school and it is wonderful to see the designs brought to life in such an exciting and professional way.
“The range of work that the students have produced is very impressive and the setting for the catwalk worked perfectly last year, so we are all very much looking forward to the shows.”
Among the students exhibiting their work is Anna Cuinu, who has focused on textiles in her final collection.
The 21-year-old said: “It’s really exciting. It’s a great way to round off fourth year. Looking back to the shows we’ve seen in the past few years, you never think you’re going to be able to create outfits and garments like those, but when you’re under pressure it all comes together.
“It’s what we live for on the course. I love getting up at stupid o’clock in the morning to come in and work on my designs, then going to bed so tired but not being able to sleep because I’m thinking about what I’m going to do the next day.”
