Police were called to Ballantrae Terrace in the Douglas area of the city at 3pm today following reports of a disturbance. The woman was named locally as Marie Low who is believed to have been in her 30s. One woman, who did not want to be named, said: “I heard all the noise and came out to see what was going on. “She had been stabbed and the paramedics were trying to help her then started shouting because they needed to get her out of there.” It is understood a woman has been taken into custody following this.
