A man has appeared in court following an alleged bomb hoax in Aberdeen.
Gary Annand, known as Simpson, was detained by police after reports someone had claimed there was a bomb at the city’s sheriff court on Tuesday August 7.
And yesterday he appeared in the court charged with stating falsely that there was a bomb and it was likely to go off.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody.
The 33-year-old is expected to return to court next week.
