Police in Aberdeen have said that they believe a man reported missing on Saturday was in the Shielhill Crescent area of the city last night.

Duncan Innes was reported missing from the Bridge of Don area at the weekend, but had not been heard from several days prior to that.

Officers have now released a photo of the 35-year-old’s car – a dark blue Ford Focus, registration SV64 LFJ.

A police spokesman said: “Our inquiries so far show that he has travelled to the central Scotland, Tayside and Aberdeenshire areas.

“We now believe that Duncan was in the Shielhill Crescent area of Aberdeen last night and would urge anyone who sees him to get in contact with us.”

Duncan is described as being 5ft 8in, of average build and has a beard.

He was last seen wearing dark jeans and a dark top, as well as a beanie hat.

Inspector Lee Jardine said: “We are continuing to appeal for information to trace Duncan, and would urge Duncan if he sees this to get in touch to let us know you are OK.

“Duncan also has contacts in Huntly and Moray and we would urge people in these areas to contact us if they see him or have information that could assist with our inquiries.

“Duncan’s disappearance is out of character and we are becoming concerned for his welfare.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.”
