A north-east woman was airlifted to hospital with “serious” injuries after becoming stuck under a tractor.
The 42-year-old farm worker was flown to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after the incident on Monday evening in a field near Glen Dye, at the foot of Clachnaben near Banchory.
The woman was said by police to be in a stable condition.
Emergency services were alerted at 9.48pm, with the ambulance and fire service also called to the site.
A coastguard helicopter flew the woman to hospital after fire crews stabilised the tractor.
A police spokesman said they were called “in relation to a person trapped under a tractor”, adding: “Ambulance, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Coastguard were also involved.”
He said: “A casualty was airlifted to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, a 42-year-old female.”
The spokesman said the woman had suffered “serious lower limb injuries”.
A Coastguard spokeswoman said they were contacted to airlift a casualty to hospital at 11.15pm.
A fire spokesman added: “We were passed the call by the ambulance service at around 9.50pm.
“We dispatched two pumps from Banchory and heavy rescue from North Anderson Drive in Aberdeen – the heavy rescue unit was not needed.”
The Health and Safety Executive has been informed.
