Cannabis worth around £66,000 has been recovered following searches in Aberdeen.
A vehicle was stopped in the Mastrick area of the city on Thursday and a property in Leggart Terrace was searched on Friday.
Cannabis and cannabis resin with a street value of £66,000 was recovered as a result of the two searches.
Two people, a 59-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman, both originally from Hong Kong, have been charged and are due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.
Detective Inspector Robin Sim of the Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit said: “This is a significant recovery of illegal drugs which would have been bound for the communities of the north-east.
“We are committed to stopping those who are intent on making money from the illegal supply of drugs.
“Anyone with concerns about drugs in their community or who sees anything unusual or suspicious should contact police and any information will be taken seriously and acted upon.
