A charity which has saved more than 100 cats since May is seeking new volunteers.
In the last six months the Cat Action Trust have re-homed and nurtured dozens of unwanted and lost moggies.
Now the charity, which covers areas across Aberdeen, Peterhead and Moray is looking for dedicated volunteers in each area to help care for more.
The trust deals largely with feral cats, and will catch, neuter and release them to control the population, however each procedure can cost up to £120 for a female and £88 for a male.
The Cat Action Trust is currently caring for a litter of four kittens who are being hand-reared and a four-week-old orphaned kitten.
Just last month the charity successfully rehomed Ratty and Moley, two cats who volunteers thought “would not survive.”
A charity spokesman said: “One of them was so poorly we really didn’t think he’d survive.
“Unlike other large national charities that receive huge amount of funds, we don’t, so are really looking to raise awareness of what we are doing. With helping over 100 cats in just a six-month period is a credit to the volunteers who put in so much hard work.”
Corrine Knight, who re-homed Ratty and Moley said: “They are doing brilliantly and growing so fast.
“All of our friends and family are amazed at how friendly and affectionate our boys are, they are fantastic with our two children.
“We renamed Ratty, Gandalf as we felt he has such a big personality and has come so far from his tiny beginnings that he deserved a magical name.
“We can’t thank everyone involved in their rescue and survival enough they truly are special boys and have completed our family.”
Those interested in volunteering with the Cat Action Trust can help the charity in a number of ways, through driving and arranging pick-ups of stray cats, fostering animals, and taking cats for home visits at the homes of potential new owners.
Donations of food or supplies can be dropped off to several vets in the area, including Aurora Vet Clinic in Bucksburn and Buchan Veterinary Clinic in Peterhead.
