A new £100,000 study will aim to create a new model for using hydrogen in Aberdeen.
The city is already using the fuel more and more as part of a drive to cut emissions.
Now, a contract has been awarded to develop a business case exploring how the gas can keep flowing – and potentially provide an example to other Scottish cities.
Element Energy will assist with the study which also aims to find potential locations for a hydrogen centre and attracting the private sector to invest.
The work is jointly funded by Aberdeen City Council, Opportunity North East and Scottish Enterprise.
A presentation of the business case was made at this week’s supply chain conference, held as part of Aberdeen’s Hydrogen Festival.
