An Aberdeen councillor has called for Transport Minister Derek Mackay to address the concerns of residents affected by the AWPR works when he visits the north-east this week.
The Scottish Government was accused of snubbing people in the affected area by not arranging a meeting.
Residents have complained about roads being damaged by HGV vehicles, water pollution and an overall lack of communication.
Ross Thomson, of the Hazlehead, Ashley and Queens Cross ward, has written to Mr Mackay asking him to meet the people affected.
He said in his letter: “I am aware that you will be in Aberdeen on Thursday and that you will be undertaking visits to Craiginches Rail Freight Terminal and also Inveramsay Bridge.
“I am getting in touch with you to ask if, even at this late stage, you may be able to take some time during your upcoming visit to meet residents about their concerns.
“I really do hope that both councils and Transport Scotland can work together to address some of these issues.
“I’m sure that communication and cooperation could bring about some positive resolutions.”
