Scouts and guides from the north-east were among dozens awarded a surprise trip to the Netherlands.
The location was not revealed until the young people were on their way to the ferry, with many believing they were heading to Oban.
The volunteers going with them arranged the surprise to reward their hard work fundraising.
They camped with Dutch scouts, tried new activities and explored the countryside.
The youngsters also got a chance to learn about Dutch culture and shared their own with the native scouts.
The trip comes ahead of the World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia, America, in July.
Youngsters from the region will attend a camp with about 45,000 scouts from across the world.
