1988 – The courtyard of Drum Castle was filled with the sound of music when the Rommen and Fossum School band from Oslo played to pensioners from Glaxo of Montrose.

1989 – Diana Morrison cuts the first turf in the old walled garden where a rose garden was to be constructed.
