Small incremental changes are the key to ensuring your business will stay afloat.
Those are the wise words of David Ramsay, group managing director at Kelvin TOP-SET.
He was speaking ahead of the Press & Journal business breakfast, sponsored by his firm.
This will take place at the Marcliffe Hotel and Spa on Monday June 11.
He said: “All successful businesses should be able to weather storms, it’s never a smooth path.
“We know that because of the 2016 oil downturn.
“Many companies have gone, but those that have weathered the storm were able to make small changes along the way.
“These don’t need to be dramatic changes, they can be little by little. It’s about assessing and sensing where the future is going.
“For me, these are small indicators of change. Not necessarily going with the crowd. If you look back to the financial crash of a few years ago, we sensed that bad times were bound to come.
“One only had to look for, and expect, changes in the economy. So we prepared for these probable changes, and consequently had no problems. The same can be said for oil industry changes.”
