A popular Mearns seafront restaurant has gone on the market.
Molly’s Cafe Bar on Stonehaven’s Promenade has been put up for sale for offers above £325,000.
The bar and restaurant looks out onto the bay, and is being sold on as a business through Matthew Cohen And Associates Ltd.
The venue neighbours the hugely popular The Bay Fish and Chips, Aunty Betty’s ice cream shop and the Stonehaven Open Air Pool.
There are not believed to be any plans for Molly’s to close during the sale, with current bookings passing onto the new owner.
A statement on the property, released through Matthew Cohen And Associates, describes the cafe as a “thriving” establishment.
It adds: “”The current owners have built the successful business in the popular coastal town of Stonehaven and forms part of the increasingly popular beach promenade with Scallywags soft play centre and the Stonehaven outdoor pool, leisure centre and recreation grounds.
“The business will be sold with the busy website and existing contracts and bookings. The owner has invested in improving the kitchen equipment and other improvement.
“The promenade directly overlooking the coastline provide a inviting in-view and outlook, as well as allowing an abundance of natural light into the shop.”
The owner of Molly’s could not be reached for comment last night.
In December 2012 the cafe was filled with water and 4in of sand when unusually high tides and strong winds battered Stonehaven during a storm, causing widespread damage along the beach front businesses.
