Firefighters were rushed to a large gorse fire at a historic Aberdeen golf club this morning.
The alarm was raised at 6.20am and a single fire crew discovered a fire approximately 200 feet by 200 feet.
Two further appliances were called to assist as the fire spread to an area of around 650 feet by 325 feet, a fire service spokeswoman said.
The fire was extinguished by 7.15am.
She added: “Crews used two main jets and remain on the scene, using beaters to dampen down and check on hotspots.”
Smoke was blowing across the nearby A90 Ellon Road.
