Military personnel are being encouraged to follow in the footsteps of Aberdeen-born veteran Michael Mellon.
The 38-year-old, who was discharged from service in 2005, recently won three medals at the Invictus Games in Sydney.
Now the call is on for ex-military men and women to join Team UK for the first national games for wounded, injured and sick veterans next July.
The event, to be held in Sheffield, will include Team UK’s Trials for the next Invictus Games in May 2020.
At this year’s Invictus Games Mr Mellon, who previously lived in Aberdeen and then RAF Lossiemouth, was the only Scot in the British Team.
Participants interested in the Sheffield tournament will be able to take part in sports including athletics, wheelchair basketball, powerlifting, swimming and sitting volleyball.
