The final winners of our cash giveaway were celebrating at the weekend after each scooping £250.
Throughout last week, the Press and Journal was giving readers the chance to snap up the cash simply by picking up a copy of the paper.
Each copy had a place name on the front, and readers simply had to register theirs to be in with a chance of winning.
Kerry MacLennan, of Beauly, was “absolutely chuffed” to find out she was one of the winners.
“I’ve been reading the P&J since I was 13 and working as a paper girl,” the 47-year-old said. “I also worked for a newsagents so I’ve always bought The P&J – its a great read.”
The lucky town name Kerry won with was Muir of Ord, where she was “born and bred”.
She added: “”I don’t know what I’ll be spending it on but I think I’ll go away as a nice treat.
“I haven’t been keeping well so I’m thinking a spa weekend. As I say, I was very surprised to have won – I’ve never even been on a spa weekend.”
Helen Clark, 74, from Stonehaven was at a wedding in Inverness when she found out the good news.
She was very “surprised and pleased” to have won after registering Peterhead for the lucky draw.
She is now looking forward to putting the cash towards a New Year getaway to the Trossachs.
Dean Phillips, from Aberdeen, also won £250 after registering his copy of the paper which had the place name Braemar, along with Mo Walsh from Culbokie, who had Tobermory on the front of theirs.
