A care worker is hoping to to lift the morale of residents and staff at a north-east care home with knitted symbols of hope.
Clair Nicholson works at the Banff Care Home and has been knitting an array of purple flowers over the past few weeks.
Miss Nicholson, along with the help of one of the residents, intends to make one for all the staff and eventually one for each resident as well.
She has been knitting the flowers in her own time, outside of work, and said she “came up with the idea simply to bring some comfort and support to our residents and their families”.
Miss Nicholson said: “It’s good to have a bit of happiness around at this time and boost the morale in the care home.
“We have all been working so hard to keep our residents and ourselves safe.”
