An online consultation has been launched for a proposed new project to improve walking and cycling links at Dyce.

The proposed design would provide a shared cycle, wheeling and walking track along the A96 from Airport Road to Dyce Drive.

Linking Craibstone Park & Ride and the Teca complex, the route would upgrade toucan crossings and access and bus stop improvements.

It would also include a junction crossing at Walton Road.

The route will provide opportunities to link other developments taking place along the road by building on existing infrastructure along the A96.

An example of the proposed shared cycle track can be viewed on the Aberdeen City Council’s website here.

Public encouraged to have their say

The work would aim to provide a “consistent and coherent active travel network” to support movement in the area.

A feasibility study and a walking, cycling and horse-riding assessment have already been carried out and the council is now looking for people to share their opinions on the proposal.

Members of the public are being encouraged to share their views on the matter before the council will proceed with the technical design.

This can be done by responding to a questionnaire on the website or emailing the design team at RoadsScotland@aecom.com
