A man has admitted sexually assaulting a woman on a bus in Aberdeen.
Christopher Paton, 42, kissed the woman on the cheek and put his mouth on her body over her jumper.
He also invited her to look at his penis.
Fiscal depute Jamie Dunbar told Aberdeen Sheriff Court Paton approached the woman on the street then sat next to her on the bus.
Paton told the woman he was going to the Fountain Bar on Great Northern Road when he met her at around 4.10pm on July 12 last year.
Mr Dunbar said: “As the bus approached the stop for the Fountain Bar the accused asked the complainer for a kiss, to which the complainer replied ‘no’.
“The accused then leaned towards the complainer and forced his lips on her cheek.”
Paton then made sexual comments to the woman and asked if she had a penis.
He touched her on the body with his hand on top of her clothes.
The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, later reported the incident to the police.
During the investigation they found Paton’s DNA on his victim’s jumper.
Paton was detained at his home on August 4.
During a police interview he said the woman had been “quite forthcoming”.
He said: “She told me she was transgender and I said it didn’t bother me.”
He pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting the woman when he appeared at the city sheriff court yesterday.
Sheriff Morag McLaughlin deferred sentence on Paton, whose address was given in court papers as Great Northern Road in Aberdeen, until next month for the preparation of reports.
