Aberdeen-based specialist energy services firm Clearwater Fire Solutions has invested £250,000 in new headquarters in Altens, Aberdeen.
The firm said the new headquarters will include an on-site test facility to carry out real-time mechanical and chemical de-scaling demonstrations, and provide scope for future research work on the company’s corrosion removal technologies.
Clearwater, which also incorporates offshore and onshore electrical services company Clearwater Electrical, said it was on track to almost double its turnover this year to £2.5million.
As a result of this growth, the firm said it hoped to double its staff from 12 to 24 in the next 12 months.
“From the outset we identified a gap in the market to offer clients practical yet affordable solutions to corrosion issues, which ultimately cause nozzle blockages – now commonly seen in deluge systems aboard many of the North Sea’s ageing assets,” said director Andrew Turl.
“We have gained significant market traction both in the UK and overseas in recent months, having been awarded a £400,000 contract in North Africa and completing several projects in the UK Southern North Sea and Central North Sea.”
He said the company was in talks to secure further work in west Africa, Thailand and Qatar.
