Ross County FC aims to live up to its ‘more than a club’ motto by staging a Party on the Park with all proceeds going to charitable causes.

Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, with about 5,000 people expected to attend the event partnered by the Press & Journal.

The all-day party on May 26 will be held at the Global Energy Stadium in Dingwall and it will run from 2pm until midnight.

There will be an array of food on offer from hog roasts to burgers, while prosecco and tea bars will be available for those looking for something stronger.

Two kidzones will be set up for younger attendees and to make the day really go with a swing there will be live musical acts including headliner Donnie Munro and Band.

Joining them will be Torridon, the Dark Horse Ceilidh Band and tribute acts for Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers and ABBA.

Chairman Roy MacGregor said: “We always thought it would be good to have an end of season party to involve all our supporters and their families enjoying some top entertainment on our pitch.”

Mr MacGregor said he was “delighted” with the musical acts playing and believed they would “ensure it will be a great day out for everyone”.

One pound from every ticket on sale will go to the Highland Hospice and the rest of the proceeds will go to the club’s youth development and community involvement projects.

Among the projects the club supported in the past were Football Fans in Training and Walking Football for the over 60s.
