Ten motorists have been arrested in connection with alleged drink driving offences over the weekend across the Highlands and Islands.
Officers are reminding drivers to be responsible on the roads, after six men and four women were arrested.
Reports will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
Road Policing Inspector Neil Lumsden said: “We regularly issue advice against the dangers of drinking and driving and it is disappointing to see that this message is still not getting through to some drivers.
“Drinking under the influence of alcohol will significantly impair your ability to drive and react to unexpected changes in the road conditions. We all have a responsibility to use the roads safely and considerately for the benefit of all road users.
“If you drink and drive, you risk endangering the safety of yourself and others and will also likely face prosecution where you could be disqualified from driving for a minimum of 12 months and have a criminal record.
“If you are planning on drinking alcohol, plan how you are getting home and don’t drive. Also remember you may still be over the limit the morning after drinking alcohol.
“Anyone with concerns about a suspected drink or drug driver is urged to contact 101 or 999 in an emergency.”
