A man has been winched into a helicopter and flown to hospital after falling while walking in the Cairngorms.
The incident happened on the Craigellachie nature reserve walk near Aviemore, shortly before 12.10pm.
Details of the man’s injuries are unclear at this stage but a police spokeswoman said that he fell from the cliffs. She added that the man was then able to shout to a member of the public, who called an ambulance.
Cairngorm Mountain Rescue team were also dispatched along with a Coastguard Rescue 951 helicopter, which took the casualty to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
