Resurfacing improvements are planned for a section of the A83 south of Inveraray in Argyll next month.
This £260,000 investment from Transport Scotland on the Tarbet to Campbeltown trunk road follows on from the first phase of improvements completed to just under a mile of the route in March.
The work means that more than half a million pounds has been invested into this section of the road this year.
This second phase of the works will further improve the connection between Inveraray and Furnace, starting at Auchnagoul and finishing north of Killean. These improvements are scheduled to begin on Monday June 6 and are expected to last approximately two weeks.
The work will be carried out between 7am and 7pm each day from Monday to Friday, with no weekend working planned. In order to ensure the safety of the workforce and road users, the works will be carried out under a 10mph convoy traffic management system during the working hours.
Traffic management will be removed out with working hours to keep disruption to a minimum, however a temporary 30mph speed restriction will be in place to ensure vehicles can pass over the temporary surface safely.
