A mountain rescue team has been deployed to assist a hillwalker stranded in the Cairngorms.
The walker is reported to be in difficulty in the Northern Corries area of the range.
Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team said the walker is thought to be hypothermic and in a “state of collapse”.
Concern was raised for the walker around 3.20pm.
The Inverness-based coastguard helicopter Rescue 951 has been sent to the area.
However, it is understood that low cloud is hampering rescue efforts involving the helicopter.
The incident comes just a day after Cairngorm Mountain Rescue Team located a couple who survived spending a night in Arctic conditions on Cairn Gorm.
