Three people on board a vessel were rescued by Lochinver Lifeboat last night after their craft suffered engine failure.
The stricken vessel was 40 nautical miles north east off the butt of the Isle of Lewis when the crew raised the alarm to the Coastguard.
The distress call was received around 3.15pm yesterday, with the lifeboat crew from Lochinver tasked to rescue them.
The crew established a tow with the stricken vessel upon arrival and proceeded to tow them back to Kinlochbervie Harbour.
Everyone on board was reported as being safe and well.
