Musicians from the Highlands and Islands are preparing to take to the Belladrum stage as part of the festival’s latest star studded line-up.
The world renowned Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival will return to its Highland surroundings at Belladrum Estate, near Beauly for its 15th year from August 1-3.
With less than two months to go until the star-studded event, organisers have announced the outstanding line-up taking to their Free Range Folk stage.
Artists including Inverness singer songwriters Katie Gregson-MacLeod, 18, and Peter MacPherson – renowned for his track “its Inverness” – will take to the stage alongside fun, loving Black Isle musicians Full Tilt Ceilidh Band and Glachbeg Croft.
Inverness based ukulele group Strumness will also bring their talents to the stage through their varied musical repertoire.
They will be joined by Norrie McCulloch, who will bring “Sublime Indie-Folk” to the festivities following the release of his 4th album ‘Compass’; Alternative folk Singer-songwriter from Glasgow Hector Shaw; The Captain’s Beard, a pirate folk rock group from Brighton, and Trad Project, bringing their contemporary sound to audiences with their mix of upbeat tunes and original Celtic-folk-rock songs.
The stage, located in the festival’s Walled Garden area, offers festival goers the change to explore music with a more acoustic and folk leaning in a quieter corner of the festival.
The stage has been curator by Glachbeg Croft Folk Club which meets at Glachbeg Croft Centre.
Fellow headliners include Marina Rolink, Andy Williamson, The Susanna Wolfe Band, Apples I’m home, Turadh, Fraser McLean, Fyfe Galbraith, Peter Noble, Emma Hay, The Project and ANNAKII.
Jess Glynne will top the bill at this year’s event taking to the main stage on the final night of the festival, meanwhile, following a performance by Scottish synth pop group Chvrches the previous evening.
