A man has been charged in relation to alleged culpable and reckless conduct after a number of tacks were left on the road in the Moray area.
The 52-year-old has been charged in relation to two incidents which happened on October 29 in the Anderson Drive area of New Elgin and December 3 in the Bezak Street area of New Elgin.
DC Rosanagh Davison said: “I would like to thank members of the public who have assisted us with our inquiries. I would also like to thank the community for its continued support.
“Putting tacks and screws on the road creates a hazard for other road users and it is fortunate that there have not been serious consequences.”
It is anticipated that the man will appear at Elgin Sheriff Court at a later date.
