Fire crews sent to Keith house blaze

Four fire engines have been sent to tackle a house blaze in Keith.

Emergency crews were sent to the property on Masonic Court, Reidhaven Square, just after 9pm.

Crews are still at the scene tackling the flames and the A96 has been blocked to allow them access.

It is not known if anyone has been hurt.

A police spokesman said: “We received the call at 9.15pm from fire, who said there was smoke coming from the building.

“Neighbouring properties were evacuated and at 9.55pm we were told the firefighters were making the building safe.”

He added: “Officers are at the scene and there are still inquiries to be carried out.”
